short film project : "sans pouces"

We worked in groups on different projects forming on big story which will be shown during the International Short Film Festival Clermont-Ferrand 2012. I had the idea and developed it with Léa Puissant.
Here some pictures of the filming this week.

Two of my new costumes worn at a comic and film Convention in Bonn, Germany :

I wanted to do another strange Cosplay as I learned how to work with clay and plaster during a workshop at my school so I began with Popeye's chin. Now I know how to work with Latex and I'm nearer to my dream Cosplay than before..... You will know what it is when it's finished! ^^

I didn't do a group costume for a long time and I missed it. So here a simpler cosplay... so simple that even my friends didn't recognised me! They said, I was too blackhaired, too serious and too normal!! °:D Here is the original character :

Festivals : (International) Competitions

I am sending again my videos to have different and international feed-back!
This time it is Concorto in Pontenure PC (Italy), Kuki Internfilm in Berlin (Germany), 25 FPS in Zagreb (Croatia) and Silhouette in Aubervilliers near Paris (France).

I hope my videos will be seen by interesting and interested people, I haven't the utopic thaught of beeing selected nor rewarded, but I do like showing my videos everywhere and get feed-back one day. The thaught of people getting cheerful after seeing one of my work still is the best!

Regards sur l'Europe 2011

Month ago, I saw thet there was a competition for video and photo with the subject "Regards sur l'Europe" ("look/sight on Europe"). I wanted to participate, so I send my work. A video and a photo.

I have been honored with the first price, so awesome! This is the photo the jury chose :

The second work I presented was the video "Klischees" :

This mosaic photo appears in negativ sometimes... who knows why... ??? Canalblog strikes too often.

My (photo)submition was presented like this :

It's 9:16 but dailymotion deformed it!!! Why?! ><

This competition got more and more importance. First, it was within Puy de Dôme and then, it gained an european level. It became an exposition which will move to different places for the next two years, until June 2013.

I spoke about this photography and it's background... ...but I'm a little bit proud after all... :D

The day after this competition and exposition, I send the video Klischees to the CROUS' student competition. I hope having chances to get rewarded because I and many others do really like this video so I want it to be seen by others, too.

EDIT : Great! I won the third price with my video!! It's a great honor and makes me happy when my work finds interest within a professionnal jury.

short film screening

After I was chosen to shw my work in the Chapelle des Cordeliers in Clermont-Ferrand (photography and videography), I prepared screenings in case I'll meet interesting people-- er no, because it was SURE, I would meet interesting people! :D

Here it is :
I found a great technique to print the papers without any loss and the best construction and handling.

What interests me in costume-making is the physical transformation of a body which can influence the behaviour and relation to the surroundings. It is like 'try something else' for a short moment. (My own family does not recognise me :D)

"How far can I push it, where is the limit of the possibilities of transformation?

I visited two conventions during some free time around easter. It is not really "holiday", rather a moment I wasn't in art school all the time. :D One of these conventions was near Munich (Fürstenfeldbruck) and got a shooting with this water element character. Zynicusand I were trying many photos, here a tiny selection.

A really kitschy character for me, but what is interesting is, how far I can go to transform myself into something I am not.
