visiting card for my Valen-...technician! lD
Here a little job the technician of my former school gave me.
I wanted the card sending out a modern atmosphere. The first second you see the card, it should be clear whom's name it carries. A technician's. Not a technician of something random, but a technician of modern computers of an modern establishment.
First, I searched some motives concerning the modern computer engineering.
I spontaneously scanned a USB-stick, only to see how it will work out. I think it was a good idea, but it didn't work out as well as I would have liked. I scanned the best resolution the scanner could manage, but it wasn't as I wanted.
So I searched further until I found two on which I continued to search :
Here you can see the final version. Chosen by both of us, the technician himself and myself.
We liked both the same version! ^^
I hope having such an opportunity often, to do a lot more of these jobs it's a great thing to think for whom and for what you do those creations!

the spring of the poets 2010 - finally official exposed!!
Finally my first really big print shown outdoors!
The first one for the citation was a little bit smaller and shown in expositions in Metz and Nancy.
Here you can see the finished original poster! And all the posters on the side of the École Supérieure d'Art dÉpinal (clic 'voir tous les événements', then 'PRINTEMPS DES POETES')
(a photoshoped photo; we took each other's picture and I assembled them ^^)
Valentin, this poster's photographer, writer and realisatorand me who was model, realisator and I had the idea.
This is so cool. My family went crazy seeing this poster, I was so happy! ^^
my mother : "my daughter is exposed naked in Epinal..."
err.... well, half-naked since I was painted...

typography workshop 2010
eating chocolate bars to get sugar while having earbuds in my ears is kind of strange when chewing. . .
I would have like a great bacon-patato-sandwich for lunch... but I want to finish this typography!!!! I'm hungry!!!! lD
I will show and explain the whole typo when it is completly finished! ^^
So... this was a workshop of typography. We searched for a fond expressing a precise theme.
I began with the quation marks to see what one can do with it.
Finally the fond became too plump to express the elegance or culture I felt when thinking of these quation marks. They express some kind of knowledge. Being part of a text, they seem intelligent?
In the end, they transformed into aubergines!
I love this kind of rubbish nonsense...
Here the final version :

The Spring of the Poets 2010
Here is the second work of my 'career' chosen to be exposed officially. I didn't believe it!!
It was chosen for 'the spring of the poets' ('le printemps des poètes') this year. It is a project in my university for the first years, but in fact, every student can present one or two work pieces with his text and illustration in the context of a certain subject.
This year's subject was 'the women in colours' ('la femme en couleurs')
I wanted to create textures with the wrapping film putting the ink afterwards in between it's layers, but it didn't work the way I wished. My boyfriend took the pictures and I added the ink. Finally the pot of ink was more interesting than the coloured skin, so we stayed on this.
The day the 10 posters should be chosen, I wasn't sure of my finished work at all! Thank you so much Val, you always help me so much to believe in what I do... the jury walked between the hundreds of posters to chose 10 of them. None of them stayed a little bit in front of mine to look closer, so I lost hope.
Finally, I couldn't imagine that it was because they already were sure to chose it. Many said it was the first chosen!! O_o
