Costumes 2011
Two of my new costumes worn at a comic and film Convention in Bonn, Germany :
I wanted to do another strange Cosplay as I learned how to work with clay and plaster during a workshop at my school so I began with Popeye's chin. Now I know how to work with Latex and I'm nearer to my dream Cosplay than before..... You will know what it is when it's finished! ^^

cosplayers : me as Popeye kyuhyun as Olive

Worn friday at the AnimagiC 2011 in Bonn, Germany
I didn't do a group costume for a long time and I missed it. So here a simpler cosplay... so simple that even my friends didn't recognised me! They said, I was too blackhaired, too serious and too normal!! °:D Here is the original character :![]()
cosplayers : me as Yamazaki and... Zipp.
fotos : toni007 toni007 Reign
Worn saturday and sunday at the AnimagiC 2011 in Bonn, Germany in a group of three.
And here other fotos from an older costume... I wanted to try to take underwater photos. I used a simple compact camera and an aquarium/ fish tank on the water surface! ^^

After two conventions (Munich and Ludwigshafen)
I visited two conventions during my easter holidays... well, it's not really holiday, it was a moment I wasn't in the school all the time! :D
One of these conventions was near Munich (Fürstenfeldbruck) and I really got the shooting I wanted to try with this water element character. Zynicus and I were trying many many photos, here a tiny selection.
A really kitschy and too feminin character for me, but it's interesting how far I can get to transform myself into something I'm not and see the results as photos.
--> What interests me in these costumes is the total transformation of my body which influenses also my character during the day I am wearing (and acting) this character. Even my own mother does not recognise me, this is also an aspect of 'be something else' for a short moment.
"How far can I push it, where is the limit of the possibilities of transformation?"

continuing the costumes
Here some pictures of the work in progress. . .
First, I sandpapered the hands to be sure and then started to work with clay on one of them...

I will cast them in silicone (tainted+painted) so I can put them on like gloves sticked to my skin
This is the only useful reference with which I had to work.

plaster mold and silicone. . . molding workshop 2011 at the esacm
Here some pictures of the past three days. This workshop was really enriching and very interesting!
The artist, Frank, who taught us all these things was joking with us all the time, but he was always there for a dozen of students! Really remarkable, I'm really thankful I had the chance to participate.
Transform my body's shape by first molding my hands. These are for two different projects :

I didn't care their look so much, they are the base for other constructions (animalic hands, Popeyearms etc). He did my left hand, I did the right... not logical, I'm right hander! lD
again body-transforming parts :
soon : the finished mask in silicone
experimenting with clay (positive), then plaster (negative), then coloured silicone (positive) :
A simple try of sort of body marks like scars on the skin. I tried to colour the silicone with make-up powder and it worked!
EDIT : Silicone is SO simple so manipulate!! I love it! I'll see what I can learn about it even more ^^

exposition cosplay vernissage
So here are a few photos of the cosplay's vernissage the 1st June 2010.
The visitors were very interested and liked my work very much, I'm so glad!
Thank you so much!!!

cosplay exposition 2010
Finally it's time! I organised an exposition where I will show my creations during these years. I will wear one of my cosplays myself the day of the vernissage. When you are near Épinal, come! I will be really happy! ^^
Oh yeah, and the cosplay conventions Hanami and Dokomi in Ludwigshafen and Düsseldorf were great! I was disguised as ostdeutsches Ampelmännchen (red fire light from East Germany).
We were SO lucky with the weather and I spoke to so many old friends and learned to know new interesting people. People who are not necessarily in this scene of costumes. Some others gave me new hints and references for the creation of costumes and other.
